Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a sponsored search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the terms and supplies any results. Lincoln County Court Docket does not keep a separate log of names or case numbers typed into that tool.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message and return address may be retained long enough to respond and maintain ordinary business records. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics logs may record technical facts about a visit, including:
- Device internet protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when available
- Date and time of a request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools help measure traffic, diagnose errors, and understand how visitors move through the website. Browser controls can block or erase cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical data is used for limited operational purposes.
- Operate and secure the website
- Send a voluntary query to the selected outside search service
- Measure which reference pages are useful
- Find performance or technical faults
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Lincoln County Court Docket does not host, maintain, sell, or compile a database of Lincoln County case records. It publishes general routing information for the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search, the Clerk of Court at Lincoln County Combined Courts, and municipal clerks. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report. Colorado court case files remain governed principally by Judicial Branch rules and CJD 05-01, not by this privacy policy or a general Colorado Open Records Act request.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power sponsored search boxes. Information submitted to one of those services is controlled by its own privacy notice, retention rules, prices, and sharing practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado courts, the Lincoln clerk, municipal offices, statutes, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's policy controls. Advertising providers may also use their own technology to measure activity across websites.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be handled by:
- A search provider that receives a voluntary query
- Analytics and hosting services supporting site operations
- Advertising networks that place or measure ads
- A government body when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce risk. No internet system can guarantee absolute security, so use care before submitting personal or protected information to any website or linked provider.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. Personal data from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed when appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Rights can depend on residence and the law that applies. Colorado consumer-protection and privacy statutes may allow a person to:
- Request access to personal data held about that person
- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits
- Opt out of certain processing where a statutory right applies
These visitor-data rights are separate from access to a Colorado court case. Court files are controlled by the clerk, court rules, CJD 05-01, and case-specific restrictions.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or applicable law change. A revised version takes effect when posted with its new date.
